Any VBAC mommas?

I am not thinking of getting pregnant again anytime soon - however I am thinking of switching OB's. But I'm looking to see if any Chicago Mom's have VBAC'd and where you did it - who was your OB and any recommendations. I want to make sure I end up at a VBAC friendly practice/hospital.

I've never had a VBAC, but I'm a childbirth educator and I would recommend the midwives at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park as a place to start looking.  There are several groups of midwives there and they should be more pro-VBAC then some OB's.  It's harder and harder to find OB's that are pro-VBAC, not to say that they aren't out there, but they are harder to find.  Good luck!

I haven't VBAC'd but I will be attempting a VBAC with this pregnancy.  Prior to getting pregnant, I looked around for VBAC-supportive doctors and ended up going with Dr. Scott Moses from NMPG.  There are maybe 7 doctors. altogether in the practice, and they are all very supportive of VBACs.  I will deliver at Prentice.  I love Dr. Moses- he's very friendly and takes his time with you at each appt.  I never feel rushed.  I've met 3 of the other drs in the practice, and they've all been very nice as well.  Good luck in your search!
