Rough night :(

We usually start LO's bedtime routine around 7 whether he sleeps or not, typically not until past midnight he finally falls asleep. Last night it started good, he fell asleep around 8:30 and he tried to wake up a couple times but we kept shushing him and gently rocking the pnp and he slept until 10. When he woke up I changed him, fed him, and he went back to sleep at 11 and slept until 1:30...so I thought "great maybe he can keep it up all night" NOPE! after 1:30 he decided he would only sleep 30 min at a time! it's the worst feeling when I'm finally falling asleep only for him to wake up again! Last night I was so aggravated, DH caught me saying to LO "shut up, shut up!!" I couldn't help it, he kept crying I would comfort him, he would fall asleep as soon as I would put him back in the pnp he would be wide awake, I would rock the pnp for a whole half hour and nothing! finally by 6 am (without sleeping mind you!) I gave up and put him in bed with me we stayed there until 2 pm (changing him every couple of hours and whatnot) ARGHHH! so today I told DH when he gets home, I'm going to the yoga (my first time back) I sooo need a break!!! Thanks for letting me vent!

I definitely feel your pain right now. My LO is so fussy lately and it seems like nothing will calm her down. I just dont know what to do about it anymore and sometimes I just feel like walking out on her but I pretty much cant do that because I am alone.

I had a night like that last week. She would NOT go down in her crib but I'd promised myself I would not continue to let her sleep in our bed. (She'd been sleeping from about 10-2 in her crib then not going back down in there after her middle of the night feeding). So I tried to keep my word until 5am when I was in tears BEGGING her to go to sleep and to stop crying. At 5, I gave in and woke up DH and he snuggled us both to sleep.

Sadly, she's been doing even worse in her crib. Goes down about 10 and only sleeps until 11 IF I'm lucky, then won't go back down. I've not gotten brave enough to have another night like that, though..
