1st Trimester
1st U/S today at 7 weeks - heartbeat!
I am in love with our tiny bean 
. I had my 1st app., just with the OB coordinator, but she ordered a u/s because I was unsure of dates and she needed to know exactly due to the Ultrascreen that is done at 10-15 weeks (I need this b/c I am 36). I was shocked to hear the HB already but the u/s tech said she can hear it at 6 wks with a vaginal u/s, whereas it is just the doppler that only picks up after 10 wks. Anway, it finally seems real. We are still scared that we are going to have 3(!) kids but this all helped a lot with getting used to everything. She did tell me I need to go on "pelvic rest" (no sex) and I can't lift over 15 lbs and ordered another u/s for 2 wks from now. Apparently, part of my cervix has slight bleeding and it needs to heal. I did have some bleeding after sex a few days ago but nothing else (cramps, etc) so wasn't concerned. She said it is very common but it needs to heal up and she didn't want any more irritation to it. I am not sure how I will remember not to pick up DS and DD.. that will be a major adjustment for all of us! FYI DH and I are going on our 1st overnight trip alone without the kids since before our 1st was born next weekend... so he was a bit disappointed by the "doctor's orders." ;-)

That is SO exciting! I'm pregnant with our first and I just cannot wait for our 7 week u/s. I hope we can hear a heartbeat, too!
