S/o cervical length

Does anyone remember their exact measurements and how much they varied? I went in Monday and it was 3.5 (I'm 16 weeks) and had to go I'm today for some cramping/bad back pains and it was 3.25. The CNM was not at all concerned and said it is a muscle that stretches and changes. Just curious if any of you remember your measurements!

It's common to have a dynamic cervix. I dealt with a IC and PTL and had weekly checks. During one appointment It varied from .9mm to 2.5mm in a period of 10 minutes.

Mine was 4.19 til last week when the tech said it was bewteen 3.5-4.09 (couldnt get a good reading) but from my first u/s I have asked and have been told anything above 3 was fine. Less than that...my MFM puts ladies on limited activity or bedrest. And depending on who does the scan the number can change slightly...the u/s tech would get one reading and then my Peri would come in and get a different one.

Mine has been between 4 and 5 each time I get it checked.

I wouldn't worry.  I'm on hospital bedrest because my cervix sucks

Mine was 5.3 at 20 wks, 3.4 at 21 wks then I was admitted just for observation, 48 hrs later it was 2.7 officially stuck in the hospital for a week, was put on oral med (Indocin) and progesterone, the next week it was 1.9 (almost a 2 she said) so they started a different medicine, then this week (Tuesday) 23w1d it was less than 1.  Its hard to even measure it so its pretty much disappeared.  So I got put on Sulidac, prometrium, and procardia for slight contractions and I'm here for the duration of the pregnancy.

While I do think that things can change quickly, I would worry about a small amount of shortening or fluctuation.  Before my 5.3 it was 4.6.

Thanks for posting this.. I just got home from my regular OB visit and he sent me over for a cervical length u/s due to crampiness. pain, and history of PTL. Supposedly gonna just be a "benchmark" scan but the U/S tech seemed to be having a hard time and taking a while for what I was originally told would only be a few minutes. She did ask me if I was feeling any pressure and went ahead a found both heartbeats.

She ended up excusing herself out of the room after telling me to get comfortable but not get up nor use the restroom, she had a phone call to take. I was sort of puzzled. When she came back she told me it was my OB on the phone and he wants to see me back tomorrow. She said at my last u/s 2 weeks ago, at the MFM, the report said 4.1 Long and closed. Today it was all over the map.. . She was unable to determine if it was funneling or simply shortening, but since she's not my dr that was the most she could tell me, but if this was her situation, to go home and lie down for the duration of the day, not go grocery shopping, etc.  

The OB's office was already closed at this point, so I have to call in the AM and see when they can get me back in.  trying not to freak out right now!

Try not to worry!  My ultrasound tech, and the MW both told me that it can change a lot.

He told me today that the shortest length was around 2 and he didn't want to see anything shorter than that. He prescribed Procardia since I'm having pains and wants to play it safe until my next MFM visit in 2 weeks. He didn't tell me specifically "bedrest" but I'm gonna try my best and stay off my feet at least until I see the MFM.
