DD's birthday is on Monday and I have no idea what to buy her! We took her to Toys R Us and Target a few weeks ago to make a list for my parents and family members who asked what they could buy her. What does your 3 year old like to play with? TIA!
When Isabelle turned 3 she was really into My Little Ponies. She has big and little ponies and all the accessories. She also loved coloring so we bought her a ton of different things to color with, crayons, markers of all sorts, pencils etc and a big pad of paper-she could color for hours!
We are in the same predicament. We did score a Powerwheels Barbie Jeep on Craigs List for a steal. Other than that, we got the Fisher Price iXL with 2 software packages. Aside from art stuff, I am out of ideas. DD did ask me for a camera, "to be like mommy". We might get the Vtech preschool camera, as the Fisher Price one got bad reviews. I am just not sure. Interested to see what others post as favorites for their 3 year olds.
Daddy's ipod! Hah, seriously we're having the same problem. He has a two second attention span and I never see much at the store that I think he would really play with.
But right now on his b-day list is the radio flyer tricycle, a few games...probably Hungry Hungry Hippos and Hi Ho Cherrio, new game for the Mobigo. That' all I've come up with, I'm finding this age to be really hard as far as toys go.
Right now she's really into her Winnie the Pooh and Cars 2 Duplos. Like really. Also, the VTech preschool camera. And puzzles, scissors, play-doh sets.
Charlie is super into playing outside (even in 100 degree heat, gag me). He loves his scooter that the ILs got him for christmas (Mini Kick Micro) and his trike. My dad is getting him a bike for the big 3 birthday because we can barely keep him off the ones that the neighbor kids have.
Inside toys: Little People, still very into his kitchen set, a little battery-operated drill set, play-doh, cutting with scissors, stickers, duplos, puzzles, and matching games.
He's also getting this See and Spell puzzle set for his birthday, they have a similar one at school and it's very popular.

We have the same issues with our iPods!! We preordered the new Leapfrog Leappad for her, but it won't be released until mid-August. That is her "big" (ie expensive!) :-) gift from us.

Thanks for the game suggestions! I didn't even think about those because she has such a short attention span.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have never seen the See and Spell puzzles before. I think she would love it. I wish I could get her one a bike! She has a powerwheel car and a scooter but refuses to sit on a bike. Thanks again!
