Biting help

How do you NOT jump three feet in the air and yelp when your kid bites you while nursing?

 LO was really hungry but fussy before bed and would not stay latched on, kept popping off and crying and trying to sit up then wanting to nurse again for a few seconds. He then bit me by accident three times. I know I scared him when I jumped be cause he jumped and cried... and I feel horrible, and scared this is now going to be how nursing goes.... Sad I had to make a bottle in the end and he sucked it down.

Help? I don't want to wean yet, and I despise pumping as much as I have to for work, much less EPing...

    He just got a new tooth the week before and I don't see anything happening yet with the top teeth. I don't think earache because he took the bottle just fine and i woudl have thought it would be the same.

    This morning he was fine, so I think he was overtired and fussy.  Hoping for a better experience tonight!
