How long does a can of formula last you?

My baby is 2 months old today and a can of powder formula doesnt even last us a week (5 or 6 days) I make 4oz bottles and sometimes he wants more than that and i'll give it to him. Not much goes to waste either MAYBE 4 oz out of the whole can. Just wondering how long a can will last other mommas with babies around 2 months.. and if buying the cans of consentrate would last longer and be cheaper...

  • About the same over here.  I was trying the cans of concentrate over the past two days, but I'm pretty sure they're quite a bit more expensive than the powder - although I like that there are less bubbles.

I tried the Kirkland brand which is much cheaper (twice as much in a can), but now we're trying similac to see if if makes him less gassy/fussy.

  • the 22 oz can of powder lasts us just a few feedings shy of a week (4.5oz, 6 feeds a day).  when i use concentrate mixed, it's rare, but I'd like to try it for a week and see how it goes!
  • DS eats 6oz every 2.5-3 hours. A can lasts us about 3 days.

Oh god, I feel for ya. I don't know how much you pay but we're paying 30$ a can so I can't immagine every 3 days!

  • So hard for me to say because I bought a case of 32oz powdered formula, and I have one I keep upstairs and one I keep downstairs, but she eats 4oz every 3-4 hours.  If I were to guess, I go through almost 4 cans a month.  Its organic too, so ugh.  Cost.  Sucks.
  • She's taking in about 32oz a day, so the plastic tubs of powder now last about 5 days.  The concentrate is way more expensive, but I'm buying some for our upcoming road trip.

  • A little over a day :( Both boys take between 4oz and 6oz a feeding, and with 2, those cans of formula don't stand a chance at lasting. I'm hoping that they'll be caught up enough soon so we can switch them to regular formula instead of the Neosure, which is more expensive.
