Should I make an appointment yet or am I jumping the gun??

I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. I made an appt, and when I went in, they gave me a urnine test and it came up negative. It's really soon to register on their tests I think. Had to do a blood test.

My Dr said that you should have your first appt within the 6-10 week range. Who cares, I say. I would go for it. But I'm excitable like that.

Not too early at all!  I called and made my first two appointments already.  They tend to book up fast, so they book the first two appts out a bit.

My doctor said they usually make your first appointment around 7 weeks so I would go on and call them. I am sure their schedules fill up fast too. Good luck!

I called and made an appointment at 4  1/2 weeks. My appointment isn't until Friday because my doctor's office waits until you are at least 6 weeks. It was nice to have a date to look forward to though

I found out @ 4w, and I called right away, and they made my appointment for 9w. All offices are different, because my sister was seen right away @ 6w. Call!!! Good luck & congrats!

I called this monday, we just found out friday. Doctor schedules you around 7-8 weeks so you can hear the heartbeat and see the baby on ultrasound.

I already have an appt scheduled with a new gyno for next week & found out I'm pregnant this week.  I will only be 5 weeks.  I'm hoping he will just confirm my pregnancy & then I can schedule for another appt in a few weeks to hear baby's HB.

Go ahead and call. All OBs have a standard time frame in which they like to see their patients for the first time, so they'll just make your appointment for a few weeks out.

I called the day I got my BFP (at 4 weeks). My OB likes to see her patients for the first time at 6 weeks, so they went ahead and scheduled my appointment the day I called.
