Now that DD can talk I hear about her dreams. Most recently today we went to the zoo and they were walking the black pigs around on harnesses. She got scared but then warmed up and was saying "follow the pigs" and following them around. Now she is napping, she woke up once crying "The pigs! The pigs!" I went in and consoled her and said the "the pigs are gone, bye bye pigs. Mommy's here, etc". She went back to sleep and now I hear her up there, awake again saying "bye bye pigs, bye bye pigs". It's good to know what the problem is, but she is so sensitive! Last time it was a spider that scared her and DH took it outside. She woke up in the night yelling about the "the spider, the spider". Poor little thing. Sounds like she is going back to sleep. She is also not feeling well so that may be contributing to her restless sleep. I shoulda given her motrin.

Re: Bad dreams
dreams can be hard, especially when they dont understand them. Each morning we talk about our dreams in the car, and what was good or what was scary. I sufferred from night terrors for most of my childhood, and even now i will have dreams that are so vivid that when i wake up i am unsure if im really awake.
Maybe before bed, talk about the fun stuff of the day, see if the redirection follows her to lullaby land.
