Olivia or Avery?

Re: Olivia or Avery?

  • Olivia. I don't like Avery for a girl, although it is very unisex now. She may be in classes with boys named Avery.

  • Both are very popular, but for some reason Avery seems just trendy to me, while Olivia is popular but classic and beautiful.

  • I voted neither - I'd try to find something less crazy popular.

Of the two, though, I'd say Olivia.  More classic and feminine.

  • I have loved the name Olivia for a loooong time. Its beautiful.

On the other hand- i've always really hated Avery. I think its ugly and cant believe how popular it's gotten!

I voted "neither", they're too popular for me.  If I had to choose, I'd pick Olivia.
  • Olivia for a girl

    Avery for a boy

    This.
Avery is one of the few "trendy" name I love (for a girl.. I can't picture it on a boy)
    I'm really over Olivia

  • I voted neither because I don't like Avery and my daughter is named Olivia so I can tell you from experience that they are EVERYWHERE. I really wish I could change her name just because I feel like I gave her a generic name that will make her feel like one of a crowd when she hits school. That said, it really is a pretty name so if popularity doesn't bother you, go for Olivia. We call her Livy and we thought that would be unique but nope, they are all called Livy sometimes.

  • Avery - Olivia is too popular.
