Kaiser born and raised. I wouldn't have it any other way. They have their issues like any other HMO, but over all they rock. As with any other HMO, be your own heath advocate and you will get the most out of your health care.
When I first heard that with other health insurance people had to go to different locations to: see the doctor, lab, x-ray, pharmacy, etc I was shocked. KP has all that stuff in one place.
I really and truly love it. I will keep it for as long as its an option for us. I love having everything in one location. The referral process is SO easy. I have had a few neg experiences, but that happens everywhere. Overall, I love them.
*Lurking, but I chimed in on the other post, so I'll chime in here too. I switched to Kaiser when I married DH and I LOVE it. I can email my dr. or DD's dr. I can schedule appts online, see test results online. You can usually "self refer" if you need to see a specialist. I feel like we get great care and I've loved just about every provider I've dealt with over the years. And like pp's have said, it's nice to have everything in one location.
