Article RE: Bedsharing

Has anyone else seen this? I mostly lurk but this article rubbed me the wrong way. It's obviously stating that the researchers haven't found it to cause any negative effects but it still seems a little misinformed to me. (ie: AAP still advising against it for the first year due to SIDS)

It also states that there is "PROBABLY" no risk for harming a toddler's intellectual or social development. Why would people think that bedsharing harms a toddler's intellectual or social development? Granted my daughter isn't the best sleeper, I've always thought it's what's best for her and her personality type.

Am I crazy that I never even considered that possibility or is it just that most people are biased against it?

You'd never see something like this in another country where cosleeping is more normal (or maybe the other way round - "Sleeping Alone Probably Doesn't Cause Behavior Issues in Toddlers" :P)
