Reaction to cinnamon?

Anyone else's LO have this? I gave a sprinkle of cinnamon in his applesauce this morning and within 5 minutes he has a red rash around his mouth. I thought he would be ok bc it's one of the ingredients in his Teddy puffs.

Cinnamon oil has been known as a contact allergen since the 19th century, when sucking on Cinnamon-soaked toothpicks was found to cause contact dermatitis ... The most common reactions described are those of allergic contact dermatitis or irritant contact dermatitis ... My son reacts to cinnamon. It is extremely healing and is a gut healer /detoxifier. I wish he could have it as it contains anti fungal /anti yeast / anti bacteria properties. Usually a reaction from him is the result of it pulling something else out of his system rather than the cinnamon itself.
