Problem with #2...tmi?

All of the sudden my son is pooping in his pants, it is not like full on poop it is like thick and sticky. He goes several times a day and I do not know what to do. I am up for any ideas on what to do. It is so bad he has a rash from it. I mean we clean it as soon as we see it and he has been in underwear for over 2 months and he used to poop more then pee so I do not know what is going on. Please help me with some ideas.
