  • We loved our Picture People experience.  We didn't buy any prints, just the CD for $150, then printed at Walgreen's.  They were beautiful!

ETA:  We also loved Flash Digital Portraits, but they are a little more expensive.

  • Before I starting doing my own, we went to Picture People.
  • At 6 mos I got a local photographer to come to the house and take beautiful pictures. I printed them on shutterfly.  I bought a CD from him for $150.  That's what I'm going to do for her birthday.

  • Picture People arent bad for a studio, I'd go with them.

  • Not sure where in MA you are, but if you're near a Portrait Simple, I highly recommend them.  They're so much better than any of the Sears, JCPenney type places.  Their prices are a little higher but definitely worth it.

  • Depending on where you are in MA I could put you in touch with a private photographer.  she is AMAZING.  A little expensive, but worth it.  She mats all the photos, retouches them, and does all outside photography.

To worn you, most of those places will not retouch photos.  If there is drool on your child's face it is left there.  same with a wet mark on a shirt etc.

For DS 6 month photos, she removed wet spots on his shirt.  She filled in my hair since I had been loosing so much.  Then at his 2 year shot, he had been sick and had some under eye circles.  She removed them.  She is amazing!

This is so true.  I went to BRU once when I was in a jam (needed pictures for DH's valentines present).  Olivia was crying the entire time and she had red spots all over her face.  This is the other reason I love Portrait Simple when I am not using a real professional. They will edit photos and they really do a great job.

  • We're doing The Picture People and also a sitting with our wedding photographer (the sitting is free because we refered someone to her, so we figure it can't hurt even if we just get a couple sheets).
