Hi ladies, thanks for all the advice and tips posted a few days ago about my DD and her eating...or lack of. We went to the pedi today and he suspected milk protien intolerance and switched her to a hypoallergenic formula and changed her from prevacid to zantac.
We came home and tried the new formula and she instantly spit it out. It smelled horrid. I dumped it down the drain (honestly, it smelled like rotten milk and ketchup and doesn't expire until next May!) and tried her regular formula in a Dr. Brown's (first attempt today) bottle. Yep, she drank 4 oz. She hasn't drank 4oz in weeks.
So either it was the Avent bottles...or??? Oh well, I am just happy she is eating again (knock on wood!). Good feedings today with Dr. B bottles, I hope that is our answer!
Re: Update to DD's eating issues...
Our precious girl, born at 27 weeks.
I wonder if she thought, "well if you're going to feed me that crap I'll gladly take the other formula". LOL!
Hope this new trend continues!
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)
Lol, I thought the same thing! She wanted to wash that taste out ; ) I really hope this is the solution for you though!
