City Select MoMs

So this weekend we went and 'test drove' strollers. I originally thought I wanted a SBS jogger, however after really thinking about what I want, I need a stroller for everyday use. I'm more a casual walk around the block girl, and need a stroller for running errands. We looked at the City Select and I loved it :) Do you use yours everyday? Does it work well with older kids?

Re: City Select MoMs

  • I LOVE my City Select.  We use it every day.  Right now we still snap their car seats into the stroller so I can't comment on how it works with older kids.  It steers so nicely.  It is so easy to fold up and store and I don't think it is all that heavy.  We took the kids for a walk in the city yesterday and were commenting on how it would have been impossible to maneuver a SBS stoller around all of the people on the sidewalks.  I don't have a single complaint with the stroller.  HTH!

  • We have it too and LOVE it!  We use it daily.  The car seats and adaptors easily snap in and out.  It folds easily and is so easy to use around corners.  Definitely the best investment we made for our twins
U/S#1 showed 2 heartbeats! U/S#2 showed Baby A's heartbeat was 157 and Baby B 's heartbeat was 183! U/S#4 showed Baby A is a Boy (heartbeat 161) and Baby B is a Girl (heartbeat 159)!! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

  • my boys are 2y/o - and one is HUGE and does fine in it. I use it almost every day - love it . If i could only have one stroller- the select would be the one.
I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • We used the DSNG for a month before I realized that the BJCS would be the best stroller for us.  I love it!  We just switched the girls out of the infant seats last weekend and so now we are just using the seats.  It is my only stroller and I use it every day.  I use it for errands, daycare pick up and drop offs, etc. I also love that I can use it as a single stroller because I have the twins in daycare on Thursday and have older DD home with me.  Love how the girls can face each other too!  No complaints, just make sure to get a cup holder!
  • I do love my City Select. It is perfect for walks. Nice, smooth ride. My 9month olds are still a little small for it, which is great...still lots of room to grow.

Some complaints I have...It is big, bulky and on the heavy side. I'm a little lazy, and don't love the extra steps needed to add the addional seat. IMO...it is a lot of work to do for just a quick errand.

My babies are just too big for the DSNG...so a quick trip to CVS etc, is just a pain. I feel like it is too much work to use their "big kid stroller" for just a quick trip. Ideally, I'd like to get a light weight, double umbrella stroller for quick errands.

The CS is really great though and I don't want to discourage you. You might want to keep your eyes open for a good deal on an umbrella.

I can get the stroller out and put both seats in in about 10-15 seconds.  I always take both seats off to put it in the trunk cause it makes it lighter.

  • i use my city select almost every day. it was the only stroller i had until they were about 10 months old. i much prefer the tandem set up for long walks and errand running to the sbs.

i got a maclaren when they were around 10 months that i mostly use when i take them to classes alone, it does get heavy to haul the city select in and out of your car multiple times a day.

  • We have a BJCS and love it!  It's a smooth, comfortable ride for our Babies.  The sun canopies are nice and big and the storage compartment underneath is a generous size, as well.  I would definitely recommend it!
