Stuck on name...HELP!!!

We just found out we are having a boy and are stuck on the name we had picked out for years, but a very close friend just used...HUDSON.

We can't find anything we even like now...any help???!!!

Use the name!!! You love it and it is going to be your sons name for his entire life. Dont let other people dictate your life decision.

I say use the name, it'd be different if it were your sibling who named their child that but I see no reason why you don't want to use it if your friend did? It's a cute name!

Use it.  One of my friends and I both named our sons Jackson.  They were born 2 months apart.  Who knows if you will still be friends in 5 years, then you'll be upset if you didn't use the name.

I agree with PP...if you love it that much, you should just use it.

But, if it helps at all, I always get Hudson and Sutton mixed up anyway. So maybe Sutton is a good alternative?

I say use it, but Nameberry also suggests:

 Finn, Leo, Noah, Levi, Atticus, Beckett

This close friend didn't know you were planning on using the name?  In any case, you should use it if you like it.

I'd still use it. My friend and I used the same name for our daughters and it doesn't bother either of us (they are 11 mths apart). When she told me she was having a girl  and using the name Ella I laughed and told her that if DH and I ever had a little girl that our daughters would have the same name .. a few months later I got pregnant with my daughter and now we both have little Ella's Unless it's a sibling using the same name (resulting in cousins with the same name) I think it's fair game.

Use it!  One of my very favorite boy names (since I was in high school) has been Jacob.  Our very close friends (we met a few years ago) have a 5 year old with the name Jacob.  We still plan on using it.
