  • Thanks for the input!

Several of the D names you listed have already been used by his family (Dean, Donald & Daniel in particular).  I guess I should've mentioned that.

  • I voted for Alexander James b/c it's on my list. I also actually love Dylan James also but my SO has a cousin on both sides of his family with that name. Both great in my opinion! :)

  • I chose Alexander James because I like to have a multisyllabic first name instead of a one or two syllable first name.  It makes it easier to shorten for a nn as well (Alex) if you so choose.  GL!

  • I like the idea of continuing with the D boys names, but I don't like Dylan. What about David James?

I like them both, but voted for Dylan because as a teacher I have had 2 Alex's each year for four years. Still a great name but very popular where I live. I also have a baby cousin named Alexander James - he goes by AJ.

David is a cousin of mine as well as an uncles name.  Plus I don't care for it as much....

That was one of my concerns with Alex.  I know several of them, including a friend of mine that has a son named it.

  • I'm not a fan of either.  I just don't like the potential for the nicknames AJ or DJ.
  • I love Alexander James.
