PSA: Odwalla

Odwalla is not safe in pregnancy due to the fact that it is not fully pasteurized. Its only "Flash Pasteurized" and that doesn't cut it. My Prenatal class was pretty straightforward that you CAN get e.coli from it, and anything "flash pasteurized" doesn't count as true pasteurization.

    Oh no!  Their B-monster smoothies really saved my life in my first pg when I couldn't keep anything down.  :-(

    Naked Juice is "Gently Pasteurized" so I would think its not. Stuff has to be fully pasteurized to be safe in pregnancy

    Well that sucks.  I just bought a Naked Mango juice that I was looking forward to drinking.

    well thats just great. Naked or odwalla juice mixed with soy milk is all I can choke down in the morning with my nausea.

    My cousin works in Madison, WI in conjuntion with the FDA to help educate people on the dangers of e.coli and Listeria when eating/drinking certain foods. (he mainly focuses on unpasturized milk)  He told me yesterday to stay away from Naked and Odwalla juices.  It stinks because I love them as well.
