Testing LO for Wheat allergy, Wheat Intoll. mother

I am allergic/intolerant to wheat. Our Pedi wanted LO to avoid wheat the first 2 years and we are now ready/old enough to try out feeing it to him and see how he does. I am just curious if anyone on here has experienced this? We plan to just start with basics like toast and feed him wheat for a week and see how he does. I am curious what to expect, as well as wondering if anyone who is allergic themselves and has introduced wheat to their LO- how many have had no problems with their LO being able to eat wheat and how many have had trouble. Thanks!
