Put him to bed awake!

I did it!  Normally I rock DS to sleep or put him in the swing...whatever....just to get him to sleep.  Not tonight.  I put him in his sleep sack, rocked him, and whispered to him, "Good night, Jake Carter.  It's time for bed, my handsome boy."  I turned on the fancy schmancy fisher price mobile with the lights and put him in the crib--awake!  I'm staring down the video monitor now watching him.  LOL

Woohoo! Hopefully he goes to sleep soon! I haven't had any success with that with DD yet.

I watched the paci fall out of his  mouth.  Let's see how long he sleeps tonight!

I put DD to sleep awake too.  She's always tired, and may fall asleep before I move her to her crib, but she always wakes back up when I move.  I swaddle and put on environmental sounds.  I usually have to pop the paci in a few times and then she's out.  It's amazing.

Breastfeeding is for us the surest way to put DD to sleep ... I ain't complaining, so far.

We put DD to bed awake/semi-awake most nights. 90% of the time it works great.
