We have the kinderbike mini for our youngest and it is top notch with alloy parts instead of plastic like on strider. did a ton of research and strider wasn't even in the top five (also like the specialized walk bike if you have a dealer near you might look at it). i think both are similar in height and weight (our mini weights 7 lbs). the strider just had too many negative reviews about wobbly wheels and plastic parts that make the handlebars hard to turn properly. also considered the likeabike but was out of our budget. here is a link to a blog review site where moms rated the top fifteen run bikes:
