xp: tests not getting darker - panicking!

Good morning. I am 14/15 DPO and I received my first + HPT last Wednesday.  I used the Wondfo brand and it was very faint.  I did another one the next morning and it was just as faint.  I then went out and purchased a FRER and took it Thursday afternoon and there was definitely a second line ... faint but there.  So I waited another 2 days(today) and tested this morning with FMU with a Wondfo ... it was still faint!  I am nervous that something is wrong.  I thought the line should progressively get darker as HCG doubles every 2-3 days.  I know a lot of you on here go by " a line is a line".  I am trying to stay positive ... as I really have no reason to think otherwise ... but I am nervous.  I have my pregnancy confirmation apt this coming Friday ... it cant come soon enough!  Has this happened to anyone else? Can anyone else relate? TIA

A line is a line.

The test detects HCG, not how much is there. A person who is about to give birth could take a test and get a faint line. The darkness of the line does not indicate just how pregnant you are.

Put the sticks down... they're not quantitative.

Like PP said, it doesn't measure how much HCG there is, just that it's there. Line darkness usually has to do with how much dye is in the test.

do your self a favor take a digital get your "pregnant" and its smooth sailing!!! plus a line is a line and if it makes you feel better got to peeonastick.com there is a lot of info there

I am in a similar boat, I got a faint line on Tuesday then no line on Friday. Not really sure what is going on but I have a Doc apt on Tuesday so I am hoping for answers.

Do not worry! I was a maniac too. I tested every day and the lines were always pretty faint and even sometimes got lighter.  Now go and get your blood test girl, so we can all congratulate!

I've been testing every day too and my lines have stayed the same. I was starting to worry a little but maybe we should all back away from the sticks...
