So annoying...

We split weeks in half during the summer.  BM has my SD from Sun at 9am to Wed when she drops her off at daycare.  We pick her up Wed night and have her til Sun morning.

Tomorrow BMs family is having a reunion at a park 30 minutes from where we live.  Originally she told me it would be at noon and she would pick SD up.  Today she texts me to tell me it is actually at 2, and could we drop SD off?  I talk to DH and we say okay, but you need to bring her home by 5 because we have dinner plans.  She wants us to meet her halfway between the reunion and our house to get SD back at 4:30.

I really want to tell her to just forget it, that SD is no longer available.  I don't understand why she thinks we should do all this driving, when we are accomodating her on our day, giving up our time, etc...  I don't want to be a b*tch, especially because we are expecting a baby any day now and may need her to drive SD to the hospital.

I guess I'm just venting.  Putting it in my DH's hands and going to try and get some sleep.

Hopefully your dh will keep this in mind and not bend at all since bm pushes it. If I remember correctly she does this frequently. In the early days of our co we did not bend at all because of these type things. We are many years out now (13) so we kinda just wing it.

He called her and told her if we were meeting halfway on the pickup we were doing the same on the drop off.

She does this all the time.   Don't think she's trying to be rude, just think this is how her life works.  But it's NOT how my life works, unless everyone wants to see me go BSC.  lol.

It worked out okay and she was even on time returning SD.  ::blood pressure returns to normal::
