Since everyone on this board is newly pregnant I was wondering if you could share what might have "worked" that month you received BFP! I am in the stage of TTC and would love some advice on what worked and didn't! Thanks everyone!
1. Ovulation Predictor Kit Tests. You can pick this up at any store - even the dollar store and amazon.com. They help you pin-point ovulation.
2. FertilityFriend.com - a website that helps you track everything from temperature, when you had sex, cervical mucus etc. They have a tutorial I'd recommend doing before jumping right in to charting.
For me personally I tried not to stress and I added Pomegranate supplements through ovulation. This helps increase the lining (allegedly). This was my 2nd cycle trying to conceive since my miscarriage and my 2nd try at the Pomegranate so we'll see. I know some women drink the juice instead but suggest mixing it with sprite.
Honestly, I don't think there is one thing that "works" but I'll bite:
The cycle I got my BFP we used Pre-Seed internally, I was temping and charting my BBT, we have good timing with sex, I was taking 100mg of B6 and B12 for my short LP and thats about it!
TTC #1 since April '11.- BFP 7/3/11! - EDD 3/13/12 - Dean born 3/15/12! - Lovely Labor Buddies with PsychGirl33!! </br>
Both times we were TTC we were successful only after we were in a particular position (me on bottom) and the final kicker was that I swung my legs into the air and stayed there for a minute. I don't know if that sounds weird or what but no matter how long we had TTC it was a sure thing if I did that. Good luck and have fun TTC! :P

Really? Are you being serious? If my sarcasm meter is off I apologize...but I highly doubt getting pregnant is a "sure thing" if you swing your legs in the air for a minute. I guess if you do a headstand then you'll get twins....

I was charting and using OPKs. We see an RE, so he was able to confirm ovulation via ultrasound and blood work. Therefore, we were able to time things well. He advised staying in bed for 10 minutes or so (not doing hand stands or any crazy position) before getting up to pee.
One month I did all of the things that I had read about- pom juice and green tea every day before ovulation and pineapple core for five days after. I did get pregnant that month, but miscarried. This time around I didn't do any of those things and got pregnant.
We "tried" and used ovulation predictor kits for 5 months. On the 6th month I didn't pay any attention and still can't remember when I even had my period, and that is the month we got pregnant. Maybe it was because I wasn't stressing about it.
I downloaded an app on my droid called My Honey Days. I was able to jot down when AF started and ended and it calculated my ovulation days including the highest fertility day. during my fertile week, we had sex every other day. This worked with both pregnancies "lost the first one". GOOD LUCK!!

That makes sense.... but I am LMAO right now because after I read that, I scrolled down and saw the W picture in your signature and kept thinking how it looked like legs in the air. LOL

3 months prior to getting pregnant, I used opk's. The month we actually conceived, I didn't. I was able to just count the days and track cervical mucus. My husband and I had sex every day for four days until I ovulated. I would say that the next time I would just track the cm. I think for me that was the best indicator.

Re: Just wondering...
Hi!
Here are a couple things that couldn't hurt:

2. FertilityFriend.com - a website that helps you track everything from temperature, when you had sex, cervical mucus etc. They have a tutorial I'd recommend doing before jumping right in to charting.
