Babies: 9 - 12 Months

PLEASE tell me your 9-10mo old feeding schedule

i was feeding DS solids twice a day and our pedi told us to now make his primary source if nutrition be solids so he should be eating solids 3 times a day. this is what our schedule "USED" to be:

wake at 6:30am, drink 7oz formula and right back to bed

wake for good at 8:30am

breakfast at 9:45, 2oz fruit & approx 5oz formula

nap at 12

lunch at 1pm, 7oz formula

dinner at 4pm, 2oz veggies & approx 5oz formula

short nap at 4:30/5-ish

6:30pm...7oz formula

7:00-7:30pm bed

now that i am feeding him approx 3.5oz fruits/veggies/oatmeal three times a day, i feel like i am OVER feeding him. but he is definitely still thirsty/hungry for formula after every meal. i am trying to give him a sippy cup with water as pedi suggested but he doesn't know how to put his head back to drink it yet and doesnt care for water much. adding snacks in the middle of every meal seems like too much!

PLEASE share your feeding/sleeping schedule. i REALLY appreciate it!

  • 7am nurse

    8am breakfast/ 2-4 ozs oatmeal or half a banana

9 am nurse or 4 oz bottle breastmilk (naptime)

11 am (up from nap) nurse/finish bottle from earlier

12pm lunch/ 3-4 ozs puree veggie or fruit and Cheerios

1 or 2 pm nurse or 4 oz bottle breastmilk (naptime)

3 or 4 pm nurse/finish bottle from earlier

5:30 dinner/ 3-4 ozs puree veggie or fruit and Cheerios

8pm bedtime nurse both sides/probably 5-6 ozs (don't know - I've always nursed her at bedtime)

She's 10.5 months old.  That's all the solids she will eat.  She just doesn't care for them very much right now.

  • 5:30 - 6 am wake 6.5 oz bottle - they drink most of this one

7:30 am 2tbsp of cereal mixed with formula and 1/2 stage 2 gerber fruit each with water in sippy - DS is into finger foods so i'll give him pancakes or eggs. DD hates finger foods

    9-10am nap

10 am 6oz bottle - this one is a struggle. they usually get half down

12pm 1 whole veg each, 1/2 fruit, yogurt each with water in sippy- some puffs afterwards & a baby mum mum. DS gets some cut up veggies as well. I am also introducing organic stage 3 foods that has some texture. More for DD than for DS.

    1-3pm nap

    3pm 6.5 oz bottle - drink all

5pm 2tbsp cereal and 1/2 stage 2 gerber veg each - puffs and maybe a mum mum

6:30pm bath, bottle, bed by 7-7:30

They still do not STTN most nights but i don't feed them at all.

Some days he will snack on puffs, diced fruit, or something and not drink as much of his 2 middle bottles (I think he's working on dropping one). He is currently 19lbs, 11 ounces . . . . 25th percentile.

  • 6:00 a.m. - 5.5 oz bottle, back to sleep

10:30 a.m. - Wake up for good with 4 oz of fruit

    12:30 p.m. - 5.5 oz bottle

2:00 p.m. - YoBaby Yogurt with fruit and veggies in it

    5:00 p.m. - 5.5 oz bottle

    7:00 p.m. - 4 oz veggie with cereal

    9:30 p.m. - 5.5 oz bottle

He also has puffs, fresh fruit, and sippy with water throughout the day.  I will also suggest trying a sippy with the straw.  My son couldn't figure out how to tip a sippy up to get the water either but we tried the straw and he can totally do it now!!
