Exhausted in 3rd tri..normal?

I am as tired now as I was in the first trimester. I am trying to swim a few days a week to at least get some excersize and its so hard to motivate. I have been up since 6:30 its only 8 now and I am dead tired.

I dont remember this before...maybe I just forgot...Is it normal though? I feel so bad for my J's since I am such a lump again...

  • Yeah, I definitely noticed the return of the exhaustion a couple weeks ago.  It's definitely a different feeling than just being "tired" or not sleeping well the night before.  Like, standing on my feet too long and I get a nauseas, must lay down feeling.  It feels like actual exhaustion, rather than just tired.  Like, measurably different.  And this morning, on the Babycenter app on my phone, it said it's normal for exhaustion to return around this point (I think we're due within days of each other?) and for it to be reminescent of 1st tri exhaustion.  A lot of people don't find it as debilitating as 1st tri exhaustion, but other things like extra weight and less sleep (due to comfort issues, getting up to pee, insomnia, etc), you're probably getting less sleep than you were in 1st tri so it's a return of some hormonal exhaustion, coupled with those things, and can therefore be really tiring overall.

Anyway, yes, I believe it's normal.  And I feel your pain.  I just got to work at 8:05, and I put my seat back and slept in my car until 8:20, when thankfully a friend text messaged me and woke me up, or I'd probably still be out there ;)

  • I was often exhausted chasing after my one, I can only imagine chasing after two!! Take care of yourself and try to get as much rest as you can.
  • Yep. Very, very normal. It's time for all to nap ;)
  • The last 6 weeks were torture for me, I was completely exhausted.

  • I'm having a hard time getting up in the mornings. Once I'm up, I'm okay, but I'm getting LOTS more sleep at night then I was before. If I can sleep in until 9:30 every day I do. Since I'm a teacher, I'm on break and just teaching part-time a few weeks of the summer - so, I have the luxury of sleeping in. I'm sure if I was back full-time I'd be REALLY tired! Sympathy to everyone who is working full-time right now!
