Sort of Update: Ethan or Colton

I am definitely leaning more towards Colton.

I agree with a lot of you that Cole is better, but DH doesn't like Cole by itself so Colton was our compromise if we go with that name.

I asked DH which name he was leaning towards and, of course, he tells me he's leaning toward Ethan.

Ugh, my poor son will never have a name. I think part of my reservation on using Ethan is that someone important in DH's life would be represented in all 3 kids names. DD's middle name is DH's grandmother's middle name. DS's middle name is DH's grandfather's name. If we go with Ethan, like I said in my previous post, if will be after DH's best friend.

The most I'll be getting my family represented will be with DS2's middle name being after my grandfather. I know it seems petty, but that's honestly my issue.

Why can't this be easier?

  • I like Colton too .. it's our name choice if this baby is a boy :) And when he gets older if he wants to go by Cole he can.

  • We are having a Colton here too.  And I thought we picked a fairly uncommon name, lol ;)
  • not sure if you're looking for more input on opinions - but I like Ethan best, then Cole, then Colton.  I think Ethan 'ages' the best, and is best on a grown man. That's usually my test for a name (see it on a professional business card). Just my opinion.

  • I much prefer Ethan. Colton makes me think of beer and horses. Also, my spell check puts a red squiggly line under Colton which turns me off to if even further. :-p
