So, from my post earlier this morning, I had a huge glob of mucous come out and started to silently freak.
I mentioned it to my OB this morning and he was not concerned about it at all. He also gave me an exam and I am NOT dialated, like the nurse had told me on Tues nite after I was admitted into L&D for contractions. He said that all is well with baby Conner and that I need to take the next few days to relax. He said that I can go back to work next week, but DF isn't too sure about it since he is quite sure that working on my feet (as a waitress) and carrying dishes was the cause for my contractions. He says that I should take leave now and I can go back when Conner is at least 6 or 8 weeks old.
Idk what to do bc I do feel quite sore and have some heaviness/pressure in my pelvic region when I am standing/walking for a little. Even walking thru the parking lot to my OB's office was quite uncomfortable, this morning.
I love that DF is concerned, for me & Conner, but is he being too concerned??

Re: OB appt update
I'm glad to hear that your doctor was more confident and reassuring for you. Hang in there!
I feel like you answered your own question about going back to work - you said you felt sore and uncomfortable walking across the parking lot at your OB office, but you're planning to go back to work as a waitress next week? It doesn't sound like that's a good idea right now. Is it possible to rest all weekend and see how you feel next week, and maybe go back for shorter shifts or something, if you feel up to it? I wouldn't push it.
Susie...sorry for the confusion...I meant if I should go back next week or should I take leave now. I told DF that I would take the rest of this week off and I'll see how I feel next week. I told work on Tues that I only want short shifts, and not the closing ones either. I know that the girls will understand but my boss is very insensitive. Ugh!

This exactly!
