Illinois Babies

pediatrician and vaccines

I have not had my baby boy yet but I am already thinking about vaccines. I'd like to space them out.  The pediatric practice I had chosen posted on their site that they will not see children who do not follow the recommended vaccine schedule.  Does anyone know of a good pediatric practice , pref through NMH, that allows you to space vaccines? Thanks!

  • I'm not sure where you live, but you can check out Sanders Pediatrics.  They are in the suburbs (Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove).  They see infants every month for the first 6 months and then every other month until they are one year old.  This allows you to space out the vaccines a bit more.  (Most practices see babies every 2 months).  HTH

  • I think some docs at Town & Country will work with you.  I know I read a thread about it on NPN.  Their docs all have privileges at NMH and Childrens. We've been really happy with all the docs we've seen so far-but we're not changing the vaccine scheule at all.
