Party menu help?

I'm trying to finalize my menu for DS's birthday party...its a vintage-y carnival theme...care to throw out what you think of when you think of fair/carnival food? 

I know I'm having corndogs (yum!), fresh cut style fries with toppings bar (chili, cheese, vinegar, etc).  Not really sure where else to head and still provide a nice range of things for people to choose from.  

Snow cones and fun cupcakes for dessert...

When I think fair food, I think food on a stick.    Corndogs already fit the bill, but maybe to offer something healthy, you could do fruit on skewers?  I know fairs also usually offer sausage subs/grinders.  Cotton candy?  Hot pretzels with cheese?  I'm so hungry just thinking about it.  GREAT theme!

Can you rent a cotton candy machine...the kids love watching and the adults end up covered in cotton candy. Italian sausages. Anything "on a stick"...you coukd do fruit on a stick...like fruit kabobs

Do you have any main course alternatives to corndogs? I for one love them, but I know a couple people/weirdos who don't... Turkey legs? haha. Burgers?

And of course I think of funnel cakes when I think of carnivals, but that's not the healthiest or easiest of options.

When I think of fair/carnival food, I think of gyros, funnel cakes and cheese curds.  Yummy!

I was also thinking food on a stick. You could do meat/veggie kabobs or veggie kabobs. I was also thinking turkey leg.

Do you know anyone who has a popcorn machine?

How is Jones already turning 1?!?! That went by too fast!

thanks ladies! some grilled corn on the cob, sausages, popcorn to munch on... and maybe some fruits and veggies on a stick..mmm...

I ordered some stuff from this seller for the girls' b-day and it's great!

Candy apples are always yummy too but could be a little messy with kids.  

Super fun party idea!  Can't wait to see pics.

CUTE theme!! Mini sliders? I was at a first bday party where they made them in the oven and just had trays of warm sliders ready to go. They were delicious!

Lemonade and iced tea for sure. Cotton candy, popcorn, fried dough, big lollipops and candied apples. YUM! Have fun! Can't wait to see the pics!
