DH loves the name Drew and I do too, but we both really don't like the sound of Andrew. Can Drew stand on it's own?? And what would be a mn to go with it?

I totally think Drew can stand alone - esp if you don't like the name Andrew. It's a kind of a hard name to come up with a middle name - something with more than one syllable.
Drew Michael?
Drew

I think it's great. Friends of ours just used it, actually.
Just as long as your last name doesn't start with L. My sister dated a Drew for a few years and his last name started with L....so all through elementary school he was called Drool. (Drew L.)

How sad, and very funny!! But we're good, literally! Our last name is Good. That's why we definitely need to find a 2+ syllable mn. I'd love to honor some of the men in our life, but they have some of the worst names. Richard, Jerry, Ora (yeah!) Donald and Meredith!

I like it, and I would say yes. He'll always get asked if his full name is Andrew, but he'll just say 'no' and move on. It's like my one friend Katie. Everyone asks her if her real first name is Kathryn and she just says "no, it's just Katie." No biggy.
I was actually going to ask this same question here. My husband is Andrew, but I don't want to do a Jr so I've debated just Drew. I know a Drew David, and I think that sounds great.
A friend of mine named her baby Drew and they used her maiden name, Brandt, as the middle name. I think a 2 syllable middle name would work best in most cases.
I have a just "Drew" and I think I have been asked once if he is an Andrew and not just Drew. It fits him perfectly and we love it His middle name is Jackson....although if you ask him he says Brees...

Drew Davis is the first name that came to my head. I have no clue why and I think it sounds good. Sorta depends on last name
Drew Carey and Drew Barry Moore (sp) seem to do fine with the fn Drew.

Drew can definitely be a stand alone name. In fact, all of the Drew's I know are just Drew, not Andrew.
