Disney questions-

I know these questions have been asked million times, but the search isn't working.

We are thinking of taking Noah for his 3rd birthday to Disney, and leaving the babe home with my parents. With that being said, we will probably go for only three nights or so. Obviously we will do Disney one day, but what would you do the others? Sea world?

And buy tickets at the gate? or is there a place to get them cheaper?

Re: Disney questions-

  • At only one day you won't get much discount on tickets but try AAA.  Don't buy tickets from a non-reliable source....they don't usually work.  You will see billboards all over for discounted Disney tickets and most are a scam.

I would do at least one day Magic Kingdom and then 1/2 or full day Animal Kingdom.  If you stay on the property they are going to have great pools and such and he will just enjoy running around.

Not sure about Sea World.  We haven't taken the kids but if you go to the Aquarium here a lot Sea World may not be special for a 3-year old.

  • For single day tickets, you probably won't be able to find a legitimate deal.  You can order them in advance from Disney or wait and buy them at the gate- price is the same.  Don't bother with park hopper tickets- that's too much with a 3 year old.

I would do Magic Kingdom for a full day and Animal Kingdom or Epcot for a full day.  Personally, I didn't think Sea World was worth the money for a toddler and it was overpriced.  Universal Islands of Adventure was cool with the Harry Potter Wizarding World and the Dr. Seuss Land for kids.  Gavin liked that part a lot.  Or you could do a Disney Water Park for a day (depending on the time of year).  Gavin LOVES that.

  • Haven't been to the Sea World in FL, but we have an annual pass to the SeaWorld in San Diego. Abigail loves it!! The have great shows. But Abigail loves fish and anything that has to do with them. She can't get enough of the Aquarium.

  • I would make sure to do MK for two days because there's just so much to do and Noah will love it!  As for the other three parks, you can't go wrong with any of them.  I haven't been to Sea World so I'm not help there.  As for the tickets, I typically buy them online through Disney's site.

  • We took L to SeaWorld Orlando about a month ago and she loved it. The new shamu show was a big hit with her.

I don't have a lot of time to post right now but I wanted to tell you that we usually go for 3 days and do MK (all day), AK in the morning, MK after dinner to get in a few rides and watch the  fireworks show at night, Epcot all day.

It makes for a busy trip but I never feel overwhelmed.  Make sure to get one of the Disney wait time aps for your phone, it made our last trip incredibly efficient!

  • MK is the favorite usually at this age. You could easily spend two days there. Epcot has a lot more for little kids than I remebered. We will be spending more time there in Decmber when we go again. If you are goingto stick to 3 days all at Disney, you can try undercovertourist.com and see if they can save you any money on tickets. There is no great deal on Disney tickets, it just doesn't exist unfortunately. At the most, you'll get 10-15% off I think. I don't know if Noah likes fireworks but Owen LOVES the MK fireworks show Wishes and the night time parade. Make sure you get there early to a spot so you can see them both. Have a great trip!

  • We're going next month for the boys' birthday, and we're staying 3 days. We plan on doing Magic Kingdom 1 day, Animal Kingdom one day and the resort pool and downtown Disney (we are staying across the street from downtown disney) one day.

When are y'all thinking of going?

  • dzs- we might be there at the same time. I need to double check with my mom to be sure she can watch Caleb. But we will go the weekend of Noahs birthday (he is 8/8)
  • That's when we'll be there :) We're going 8/5 - 8/8! We'll have to try and meet up if we are there at the same time!

  • We are taking our boys for Ethan's 3rd birthday as well (September).  We are going for 4 nights, and I'm planning on one full day at MK, as well as going on the evening we arrive for the parade and fireworks, and then we are also going another evening for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  Other than that, I've planned a morning at AK, a morning at Hollywood Studios, and then we will do Downtown Disney for Ethan's birthday dinner at T-Rex.  I managed to plan all this without Park Hopper tickets, thought it would be too much on all of us to try and move around that much.
