I have a bunch of KLOs on the way that are used. I want to make sure they are clean and ready for my babe in August when she arrives. I keep searching the web for bleach info on cds, but can't find the answers I am looking for.
This may be a super dumb question: Does bleach change the color of the fabric and threads? I mean you don't put a ton of bleach in there right?? So I am confused.
Since they are used I don't need to prep just disinfect and clean (right?) so does that mean I could just strip them with hot washes and some dawn soap? I guess I am just really confused about the laundering process. Sorry for the most likely very repetitive questions.
Also, what do you suggest to clean used diapers from diaperswappers? Fitteds, prefolds, pockets, and AIOs...
Re: Using Bleach on Used Dipes
Here is a good article you may find helpful. This is a great blog for CDing families.

I have used 1/4 cup of chlorine bleach with a hot wash and extra rinse on all my diapers I have bought useds. I have not had any problems with colors fading or bleaching out with this method.
I prefer to use bleach for the first wash on used dipes that way I know they are clean and no residue from the previous user is left on there for my LO.
