2+ time moms of boy(s)

For all of you 2x moms that have an older boy, how old was he when he PT/PL?

His 3rd bday was August 27th and we PT the end of June begining of July right before. He prob was ready a b it sooner but I was waiting until I was home with him for the summer (I teach) to make it easier. Waiting until he was almost 3 was good for us, he was more than ready and it took 3 days. I threw away the diapers and let him hang out naked of with bigh boy "unders". He PT at night about a week later (we were lucky with that - he decided he did not want to wear pull ups at night (the only time we used them). and while we had to change his sheets in the am a few times over all it was pretty painless.

That's awesome!  He PL quickly.

2 years and 5 months.  We were pretty lucky.

We started at 2.5 because he was interested and then it became a battle for 6 mo. He would never tell me when he needed to go so it more like I was trained to take him. Just before he turned 3 he magically started telling me and that was it. I wish I would have just waited because having a kid who refuses to wear a diaper, but wont tell you when he needs to go SUCKS.

Wow!!  I think my nephew was around 2.5 when they started practicing, but I think he was just around 3, when he was perfect with no accidents at all.

Awwwhhhh.  I'll keep your story in mind when my DS is older. 

Yeah, I've read that it's a developmental thing and that just like STTN, they'll do it when they're developmentally ready and able.

My oldest was 2.8 when he potty trained. It was literally one day. Never an accident, dry through the night on day one. Im not saying that to brag because quite honestly it ruined me for the 3 that followed. lol

 

next oldest is about a year behind developmentally. He was 4.

 

The two boys I am training now (twins) i started the day after their 3rd birthday and they are trained as long as I dont put any pants on them

LOL, yeah so DS was potty trained before he STTN.  And then once he potty trained, he night trained so he would wake up to pee in the middle of the night because he knew the sensation that he had to go.  

Just a few months ago, he stopped waking at night to pee.
