Nevada Babies

Newbie!!!

Hey mommas!!

I will be moving to Las Vegas soon from Korea!! Just wondering who your favorite OB is and why and what your favorite hospital is for delivery and why??? I am currently only 9 weeks along but would like to get in touch with an OB soon so that I don't have any scheduling problems later! Thanks so much for all your help!!

Re: Newbie!!!

  • Just me personally, but I favor Dr. Garg at Women's Specialty Care. He is very attentive and explains anything I ask. He is also supportive of whatever birthing option I choose (c-section due to my SPD or natural if I'm up for it) and isn't forcing me into anything. I haven't delivered et, but I have heard great things about Spring Valley Hospital and I'm looking forward to delivering there.

  • I Love my Ob-GYN, Dr. Miller (altough I do like Dr. Garg as well). I work at Spring Valley hospital, and have since it opened in 2003. I wouldn't go anywhere else to have a baby. I adore the nurses and techs in the L&D department. We have all private rooms, a well baby nursery and a NICU. But you'll have to see who accepts your insuance, as not every doctor and hospital takes every insurance. Good luck!

  • Thanks so much danandbethg!!!!

I have Tricare so it should probably be okay, but I will def. check! Are Dr. Miller and Dr. Garg male or female?? Thanks again!

  • Not sure about Dr. Miller, but I know that Dr. Garg is a male. (I should add that I previously had an older male GYN for about 4 years and I became more comfortable with a male than a female) I originally had a female OB, but I felt that Dr. Garg was a much better fit.

  • Dr. Miller is a female....If i had to guess, I'd say she is early 50s.
