So went to dinner with the inlaws, nephew who is about 7 months playing with 3 fortune cookies. I choose one then open it in the car. It says:
Soon, you will receive good news.
So I say to myself, could it be a BFP for me in my near future?! Only time will tell!
Any of you believe those things? This one, I truly want to believe!!!
Re: Fortune Cookie...
First there was Cheri22. Then JennyRenny. Now Fortune Cookies. Oy vey...
No, I would put even less stock in a fortune cookie than I would an internet psychic. And I put about .01% stock in the internet psychic.
I am the same way. I read them for fun but thought it funny to get this now. Didnt spend money on psychic either. Its just fun to see what you get in the cookies!!!
But but but. . . she KNOWS!!
I don't really believe in them, but I can tell you there have been some strange coincidences:
1) the night my DH proposed, my fortune cookie said, "A diamond is a piece of coal that stuck it out."
2) a few days before my BFP with DS, my fortune cookie said, "Soon, you will pass a difficult test."
3) the day after Goldman Sachs went under, my fortune cookie said, "Don't worry about the stock market, invest in family."
Crazy, right?? BTW, this made me think DH and I should get some Chinese soon.
I hope it comes true!
When I was little and we'd get fortune cookies, my dad said that his fortune was "If you stick a pencil in your ear it will hurt.'
He said this til I was about 12. And i was not smart enough to ask for these fortunes.
..I can't wait to do this to my children!
I don't believe in internet psychics, fortune cookies, etc...BUT this one time I was having dinner with my then boyfriend and his dad. My fortune cookie said "Beware of an offer that sounds too good to be true." A week later he proposed to me. Seven months later (three months before wedding) I got an email from an internet slore telling me he was trying to get her to come to our apartment for sex and sending naked pictures of himself to her. True story.
I'm not sure how I feel about those...
But I really hope it's right! Good luck!
We always put the words "in bed" after the fortune.
Good luck! ; )
The other night my fortune cookie read:: "an unexpected acquaintance will resurface."
DH opened his and it read:: "Joy will come with the return of a good friend."
Weird.
Though we don't believe in those kind of things, I'm still on the lookout for a "strange coincidence."

My whole family does it! It's hilarious... until it's my FATHER who is reading it out loud!
