Curse you, Cracked.com!

WARNING: Bad idea to read anything on Cracked if the subject is something that is relevant to you or is a phobia. You have been warned.

So I went on Cracked.com for my daily dose of weirdly informative articles, and what is the very first thing I see staring back?

"7 Terrifying Things They Don't Tell You About Pregnancy".

Of course I read it. Which was stupid. And then I read their "6 Terrifying Things They Don't Tell You About Childbirth". Stupid, stupid me...

  • Now I have to go look.  I'll tell you if the childbirth scaries are true.

  • I know they're probably exaggerated for comedy to some extent, but still...yikes.

It's all true.  I experienced a lot of the things described.  Time to quake with fear.

  • Oh I have a better story...I went to my first appointment today to confirm my pregnancy.  I was extremely nervous and a little queasy, so I was trying to do anything to distract me.  I have the Cracked app on my phone, so I read that "comforting" article this morning.  I was laughing (sort of...) until I got to the part about Cheeseburger Crotch...
  • I considered leaving this article up so my hubby could read it once he gets home. However, I think if I ever want him to touch me again, I'll go ahead and keep this info to myself...and hope I avoid those mouth tumors and the "cheeseburger crotch".

Oh lordy, the Cheeseburger Crotch...my poor husband is in for a few surprises.

  • I'll be honest and say that I did get the varicose vein on my labia in the last 5 weeks or so of pregnancy. They weren't painful at all though, and they went away right after delivery. It was kind of gross though!

  • Oh my god, I read that yesterday and decided not to even mention how scary that article was on the Bump. I figured, all it would do is further freak out those of us who are already freaked out...shudder...
