Spoiled!!!

My son is driving me crazy. I dont know if he's just spoiled because the rest of my family holds him non-stop or if he's just bored or maybe he's teething? He used to be my happy little baby, now he cries so often and I have no idea what the problem is.

He used to be able to entertain himself on the floor but he can roll over now so if I leave him alone he lays with his face on the floor crying in frustration. He used to like his bouncy seat but that doesnt work anymore either. His swing only works when he's sleepy. He cries when I leave him alone and he doesnt seem satisfied when I hold or play with him once he starts crying. Three times now I tried to let him just have his fit while I finished some chore and the kid got so upset that even when I picked him up he continued to sob for a few minutes before he settled down. I'm starting to think my son doesnt like me anymore! :(

 Anyone else having problems??

Re: Spoiled!!!

  • My son takes his sleep VERY seriously. If I don't recognize that he is sleepy, get that pacifier in his mouth and leave him alone, he turns into a complete monster. The majority of the time he is an angel. Loves to jibber jabber to his toys, can entertain himself for hours and interacts well with people. But miss that very small window of "I'm sleep, leave me alone" and it's like a whole different baby has entered the house. Once he gets to that point, he is the same way and NOTHING helps, holding him will work for a few minutes. Is it possible your little guys feels like that? That's the only suggestion I can offer.....good luck and it is most likely a phase, they go through so many of them so quickly!!!

  • Well I just got my exersaucer in the mail, and he was getting all upset and I was preparing for the worst, but when I got it together and put him in it, he turned into my happy baby again. My MIL bought him one and he really liked that one, which is where my Bored theory came from. I think that might be his problem. He's being my cutie again playing with his toys.

Hopefully the mystery is solved because I was starting to wonder if he might be getting sick. :(

  • Cute! I've been wondering when you're supposed to start putting them in those things. My guy has GREAT head control so I think it would be ok but from what I've read most people do it at 4-ish months?

  • My pedi said not to do anything until 4 months, but he does just fine in his exersaucer. Not so much in his bumbo, but his new toy is the BOMB.COM! He loves the exer and I love it too.
