But it's been on my mind. My ute is "measuring" large, according to my OB last week-she didn't measure me, but felt it and commented about how big it is already. With my awful m/s, I've lost about 8 lbs, but my ute is definitely sticking out. At my u/s around 6 weeks, the tech found one baby alllllll the way to the left hand side of my ute. Last week, I went to the OB, and she was searching around the right side and found the heartbeat on the Doppler-alllllll the way to the right side of my ute. I'm sure I'm just being super paranoid, but does that seem a little odd? I keep thinking there is no way in hellll that I could be carrying twins, but now I keep thinking about my appointment.
I mean, they did only find 1 baby 6 weeks, so there's only 1. Right?

Re: I am asking a really stupid question.
bahahaha
This.
If it's any consolation I had several people tell me I must be having twins because I started showing early, was measuring ahead, etc.
Nope. Only one.

Possibly not. At 10 weeks it is very common to not hear a heartbeat with a doppler, so it would be very possible to find one and not the other. Also hearing two heartbeats to diagnose twins doesn't happen until further along or sometimes they never hear both.
OP: The bigger uterus could because because of your particular body structure. Some uteruses are more prominent than others, so yours could just be sticking out farther. Also, how sure are you about your dates?

With DS, my ute measured 8 weeks when I was only 5 weeks. I only had one in there. He was my first baby, but I know that your ute measures bigger w/each pregnancy b/c it doesn't take much to stretch it.
ETA: they don't "measure" you with a measuring tape this early, but it's more feeling the position of your ute in relation to your pelvis.
