Yes, I realize that my girls just turned 6 months old. However, we will have Christmas, their 1st birthday, and my daughter's 4th birthday all within 3 weeks of each other. Yeah me!
So, I plan early to help ease the stress around the holidays.
Anyway, we are going to have a New Year's Eve 1st birthday party (girls born on 12/31/10). I was going to have the party start at 11am, do a ballon drop, confetti throw, and noise makers at Noon to mimic what the adults do at midnight. Instead of yelling, "Happy New Year!", we are going to yell "Happy Birthday!"
My thought for a theme is to just do polka dots and make it really colorful in very bright colors.
So, the wording of the invite. "As we countdown to midnight to ring in the New Year, Abby & Emily are turning one, so let's bring some birthday cheer!"
It doesn't sound right, but I want to incorporate both New Year and Birthday into one saying. I need help!! Anyone good at wordsmithing??
Re: Birthday Party wording help...
So, the wording of the invite. "As we countdown to midnight to ring in the New Year, Abby & Emily are turning one, so let's bring some birthday cheer!"
Cute idea! I would do black/white and a bright pink maybe for colors- to make it look more NYE'ish (but that's just me)...
How about this?
Abby & Emily turn 1
at the very end of this year!
We'll countdown with a balloon drop
And lots of birthday cheer!
1.Before we say goodbye to 2011 and welcome the New Year, let's celebrate Abby & Emily's birthday with lots of birthday cheer!
2. Noise makers and balloon drops...what could be more fun? Our New Year's Eve babies are turning ONE!
it's all I've go. I get more creative with wine, so I'll try again in about 2 months!
Ohh, I like that one.
I keep going back and forth on the colors. Either multi colored or keep it simple like you said above. I hate making decisions. At least with the Katie she can tell me what she wants. I keep struggling on finding ideas online. There really aren't many New Year's Even birthday party ideas / pictures out there to get inspiration from. Ha!
Katie: 1/16/08 2lbs. 15oz.
Abby & Emily: 12/31/10 6lbs. 2oz. & 5lbs. 7oz.
