I'm finally a MoM! (PIP)
My twins were born 7/7/11 via C-section (after all that worrying about which I was going to have to choose, they chose for me...) at 37.5 weeks due to severe pre-eclampsia.
I never had any BP issues or protein the entire pregnancy and when I went in for my final appt (before scheduling induction) my BP was 176/110 and 2+proteins in my urine. So the twins decided that was the day they were gonna come.
At first they were both presenting Vertex. I was put on Magnesium Sulfate w/little success, and then baby B flipped transverse, so Doc decided he would do the section. To tell you the truth I was kinda relieved.
After the section they took both babes up to the NICU for monitoring, baby b w/a breathing tube, baby a w/shallow breathing, no tube though. After the surgery they took me back to L&D to remain on the Mag for the next 24 hrs (rather than moving me to the maternity/nursery floor). **eta to continue**
There I sat not seeing my babies but for the 2 seconds after the section before they took them up to NICU. So I didn't get to see them all night Thurs night, or ALL DAY Friday!! I was getting very upset. When finally they brought them down to me before they sent them to the regular nursery floor (rather than the NICU).
Then I finally got to my "permanent" room after the Mag was done and the babies haven't left me since!!

IUI #2 10/29/2010 = TWINS! EDD 7/25/2010
C-SECTION 7/7/11 at 37.5wks due to severe pre-eclampsia.

I'm so sorry it took so long to see your babies, but they are beautiful!
congrats! they are precious!
sorry it didn't go too smooth and took so long to see them- but now you can eat up all that time with them

I'm sorry you couldn't see them and had to wait, and I'm also sorry about the mag. I was also on it 24 hours after birth because of pre-e, and it was horrible!! For what it's worth, E and M were in the room with me during that time, but I don't remember a thing about that day because the mag made me so out of it.

Congrats! They are both adorable! Love both of their names. If we have another boy I want to use Jarrett as mn in memory of my brother.
