    I actually like the name a lot but DH nixed it because of a very bad association (ex-stepmonster's son's name).

    first thought was bewitched but kids now won't really reference that.  I also knew a Darren in college who was a really nice guy.

    I was actually looking into this name on babynamesworld yesterday as I was considering it.  a pretty low # of people liked having this as a name...somewhere in the 50s/60s compared...most are usually in the 70s.  that being said, I decided against it.

    but I think one celeb Darren would turn the whole thing around and it would become a "new" name again. :)

    eh, not horrible but definitely don't love it. I know 4 Darrens in real life and they're all over 40, not that age matters just a fact....if you like it, go for it. maybe it will make a comeback?? :)
