I have read that around the 4-5 week mark babies can develop "baby acne." Apparently it is common. my LO has developed some on her cheeks and behind her ears. It's suppose to clear up quickly. I read that the cause isn't known, but they think it's hormone shifts in the mother around this time (bf i suppose). My ob says it isn't truly acne, but didn't go into detail about what it actually was, and suggested (for good measure) to switch out laundry detergents to dreft for baby's clothes, and my tops, since baby will often have her face against me.
I have folliculitis and it is concentrated on my scalp when I do have a flare up. It is pretty much acne. The bumps don't always get infected, so often they are just inflammed little bumps, but sometimes are like a pimple (puss. yuck). But this probably isn't the case for baby, but I can't for sure say that babies don't ever have this condition either.

I've heard of a rash called cradle cap, but I don't know what it's supposed to look like. But I think it's fairly common. Our nurse said to shampoo his hair with a brush to avoid/clear it up. Hope that helps.
