XP: Need a laugh...period related

I'm EMBARRASSED! So last Friday, I had vag surgery (Essure Sterlization). I also had a light flow and was very stressed b/c the dr. told me she wasn't sure if my tubes would be visible (thru the blood) to perform the procedure.

The nurse took me into a room and asked me to disrobe below the waist keeping my underwear on since I'm bleeding. She also gave me a valium to relax me. After 40 min., I'm feeling great and a guy walks in, introduces himself and says he will be in the room during my operation. The anesthesiolgist walks moments later and inserts the IV. The two guys walk me to the operating room (this was a surprise didn't think I was switching rooms) and leave me alone for a minute to get comfortable on the table. Now sober me would not do this...I was still wearing the underwear and mind you they were not cute either. Boy shorts w/ a pad (my flow was too light for a tampon and my ass is still too big for pre-pg thongs). I stripped down and flung my period panties in the corner! The two guys enter the room and notice the undies immediately but say nothing. I then go under anesthesia. Later, the two guys wake me up and I'm so excited I make a scene. "That's it? That's the first uninterrupted sleep I have had in years. When can I do that again?" Really made myself known. They commented they'll see me in 3 wks for my 2nd procedure-they always use the same staff. Man one says the nurse took my undergarments back to my room (for a minute I forgot about the incident). They walk me to my room. I'm looking all around the room and cannot find my underwear. Still in a drugged up state I open the door and loudly ask for my missing underwear!

Days later, I'm still hanging my head in shame! They weren't bad looking guys either. For some reason, I would feel better if they were ugly-I don't understand why I need to impress them. BTW-apparently, my dr. talked to me about the op but I don't remember. The pd panties outshined any medical advice!
