Me me! I literally haven't even remembered .. til now! I was all 'oh wow! it's been 11 weeks!'..  I am EBF.. is this why? Should I be concerned? (*I was always like clockwork before...)

Also- not on any birth control - YET. (not worried though bc we ain't having sex!! haha!)  I plan to get Mirena or Paraguard soon..

Typically when you BF you don't ovulate and therefore you don't have a period.  When I had DS I didn't get my period back until he was 7 months old.  However this is not always the case.  I'm super p!ssed because DD is only 2.5 months old, I am EBFing, and I just got my period back on Sunday.  I was so looking forward to not having a period for a while.  Oh well.....

As pp said, breastfeeding suppressed ovulation.  But how long you'll go without is different for all women.  It's not effective birth control though, because you can always catch that first egg before you actually have the first period - so you can get pregnant without having any period at all...like me :-) 

I got PG when Drew was 11 months old and I had not yet had a period.  I actually haven't had my period since November of 2008!

I haven't...I am ebf.  The last period I had was a little mini one back last July.  I am also on the mini pill.  I am hoping that I get it back by my LO first bday so we can start trying for our second

I haven't yet.  I'm EBF and started on the mini pill. For some reason I thought that starting back on BCPs would trigger my period to come, but I was pleasantly surprised that it hasn't.  I don't mind not having it at all

I'm EBF and no period for me yet. I started the mini pill... and promptly proceeded to mess it up by forgetting to take it a couple days. I know you have to be SUPER careful b/c it's not as reliable as the regular pills, so we're just using condoms for now. I'm not sure if I'll keep taking the pill- I don't know if I can be trusted!

I also EBF and Olivia is 15 weeks and I think 3 days, no period yet.  However it feels like it is going to start any minuet now.  Its been like this for a month.  So I dont know.

 

I also EBF my older DDs and got my period a few months after their births.  Every one is different.

I haven't had mine yet, and Liam was 3 months old on the 4th of July. I also am not on any BC, but I'm going to start the mini-pill. I just needed a pep talk that it wouldn't hurt my milk supply.

Mine is still gone and we are closing in on 4 months. I asked my sister and hers didn't return until maybe 18 months (she breastfed until at least 2 yrs though). I don't plan on breastfeeding past a year so i am hoping it stays away that whole time. It is a little nerve wraking not having though.

13 weeks pp here and still no AF in sight. I'm EP and on the mini pill as well.

So I had a period about 2 months ago it was a week (which is normal for me) then off a couple days and then abother week. And now I havent had one since. June 11th was the last day of the 2nd week. I am not taking any BC either. I have taken 2 pregnancy test just to make sure. I do not breast feed, as I now this is common for mammas who do.If I do not start within a week I am prob gonna call doc. and have a check up, or at least see what he wants me to do.

I haven't.  EBF is why.  I didn't get mine until 7 months with ds, but often women don't get them until they are done ebfing.

No period yet for me. LO will be 3 months on sunday. My last period was July 16th- its almost a year. I EBF and am not on any birth control- just condoms.

No period here. I'm EBF and not on any BC. I don't plan to start on BC anytime soon either. Sunday I was cramping really bad and thought AF was on her way, but it just turned out to be an upset stomach. I'm not in any hurry for it to come back.

No period for me yet. I EBF DD and got it back 5 months pp, and have EBF DS, though I kinda feel like I'm PMSing this week...I guess we'll see.

I was worried this about this exact thing! So I've been waiting and using condoms until my period started again to use the mini-pill

me!  Mine didn't come back with DS until after he was a year old, I EBF until he was 10 months.  Totally normal.
