I'm a teacher and home for the summer. When I return to work in late August DD will be 10.5 months old. At that point I plan to supplement with formula b/c I no longer wish to pump.
I plan to BF at 6:30 am p/u DD around 4/4:30. BF around 4:30 and at bedtime. How many ounces of formula do you think she will eat while at daycare?
Also, when would you start introducing formula? I was thinking of starting by giving one bottle around lunch time beginning 3-4 weeks before I have to go back to work. TIA!
Re: Supplementing with formula
I'm a teacher too, not planning on pumping anymore either, but my LO will be 13 months so I am going to begin introducing whole milk. Do you have a freezer stash?
One of my friends was in a similar situation as you, teacher returning with a 10 month old, she sent 1/2 whole milk 1/2 bm bottles to daycare.
At that age my DD would have needed 2-3 bottles at the most during that time.
Good luck.
