Baby eyeliner question....

hee hee.  I want to make a little dot on DD's nose, and whiskers on her face for Halloween.  She is going to be a lion.  I bought some Almay eyeliner thinking it might work, and would be ok to put on her because it is non-comedogenic (I dunno how to spell that word).

Do you think this would be ok?  Is there something else I could use that I'm missing...or is this just a bad idea?  DD is 18 months old on Halloween.

Thanks!

Re: Baby eyeliner question....

  • It'll be fine.

    And adorable.

  • I did that on DS last year when he was a lion. He was 8 months old. It was super cute.

  • I think it is fine.  I remember my parents using it on us.  I don't see any harm in it for one night.  Look at all the child actors/actresses/models, etc.  What about just the halloween paint stick things.  Are they bad?

  • We put some on Julia at that age when she was a bunny. ?It was adorable and fine. ?
    .
  • No harm!  It will be cute, post pictures.  Your dd is adorable.
  • Aw, she will be so cute.

Maybe also pick up some Almay eye makeup remover so that it comes off easily.

  • Now, if you were going to get permanent eyeliner tattooed on her lids and buy her a pair of beautiful lucite platform heels, I would answer differently.
  • Thanks ladies.  I can't wait!  I'm going to have to make her hair into a mane as well, because she won't wear the headpiece.

Heather...I looked at the Halloween make-up at the Halloween store and it said not to use it on children under 8.  Probably could without worries, and the stuff in the Almay is probably about the same stuff...but I'm a worrier, lol.

    Thanks again.

  • Yeah, I have to admit I figured the title of the post would get people to look, lol.  Not permanently tattooing her yet, or tarting her up. :-)

Good idea about make-up remover REOM, thanks.

    Thanks again.

  • i sure hope it's ok...i'm doing it to DD (kitty) and she'll only be 10 months old.  i didn't even think twice about it....yikes!!
