My daughter is about 23 weeks old and I have been breast feeding only since she was born, other than a couple days when I was in the hospital (DD was about 6 weeks at the time). I have noticed while pumping the last few weeks that my supply is going way down. I am going to have to switch to formula since i am now producing just over 10 oz a day and that is so far from enough for her. We are using a sample the hospital gave us, but there any suggestions for what we should get for our little one?
Re: Milk supply
I was just reading about supply/pumping issues on kellymom.com... here's the link...

I'd try these things first and call your local La Leche League (if you have one) for additional tips/suggestions.
I'm copy/pasting this from a previous post I wrote about getting my supply back up. My supply really took a nosedive in the past few weeks, so I started trying a whole bunch of things, and I've gone from pumping 7 ounces during the workday to about 21. So it basically tripled. Here's what I did:
-Drink a ridiculous amount of water, especially while pumping.
-Started eating better, making sure I get protein at each meal, and always 2 packets of oatmeal for breakfast. The nights that I would just have cheese and crackers for dinner I think were taking a toll.
-Fenugreek 3 capsules 3x a day. Also started taking my prenatals again (I was slacking).
-Started pumping in the car to/from work. This one was huge for me! I now pump both sides on the way to work, and get anywhere from 5-8 ounces. I pump one side after work on my way to daycare to pick up Auds, and feed her on the other side. I'm getting 8-10 extra ounces a day from this!
-Started pumping right before bed. This usually gives me an extra 2-4 ounces, depending on how long it's been since she ate.
-Quit taking BCP. We're not TTC again yet, just using other methods so the hormones don't mess with my supply.
I hope this helps!
